Mid Year Recalibrations

Before we get any further... if you're new here, I want to take a moment to introduce myself.

Hi, I'm Theresa

a mindshift mentor and Coachsultant™, here to help you own your journey, embrace your growth, and step into the version of yourself you’ve been becoming.

🖋️
You're getting this newsletter because you've joined The Shift. I hope you'll stay with me as I begin to ramp up, and I'd love to hear from you where I can lean in to support you.

Somehow, we’re already halfway through the year.
Looking back, it’s easy to wonder— where the heck did time go?

The truth is, breakthroughs don’t happen in a straight line.
Before things start moving fast, there’s a season of stillness.

For me, that season felt like being stuck. With the best of intentions, I had the dream to jumpstart my business back in August 2024, and started moving towards it.

Plans didn’t land the way I imagined.
Momentum felt slow.
I questioned whether progress was actually happening.

And yet, that stillness was working in the background. Seeds were being planted. Lessons were being learned. Foundations were being built — quietly, almost invisibly.

A realization settled in: I was no longer the same entrepreneur I was 5 years ago.

While I still felt my core fundamentals is the same, who I shifted from then to now to next... is evolving.

🌸
And so I had to take a step back, and really returned to my roots; what mattered to me, and what I want to use my voice for.

That's when things shifted. Breakthroughs arrived, and with them, clarity, momentum, and speed. What once felt stuck now feels like acceleration. The work I did in the quiet months is what’s allowing me to move confidently today.

One thing I did do differently, is that I examined everything; and whatever felt heavy, I released them all.

  • Such as all of my past Instagram reels. "Started over" with my feed, my messaging, how I was showing up. It feels great and lighter. And with no chains to the past.
  • Changed my tech stack. I've parked Thrivecart and Moosend, and now moved over to Stan Store and Ghost as my newsletter delivery.
  • I did an inventory of my past product to determine what I want to keep, and I'm excited to share there will be a Wow Your Clients Playbook v2.0 on the horizon! So be sure to stay connected in!
This mid-year recalibration is a reminder: progress isn’t always obvious. Sometimes the slow, unglamorous moments are the most necessary. And when the breakthrough comes, you’ll be ready to rise.

In the meantime, here's what's happening in this season of life for me:

  • 👩🏻‍💻 Work: It's hard to believe that I've been in my new role for over 6 months now. I've felt like I went back to a D1 (Situational Leadership language if you're not yet familiar), where I was learning of new frameworks, building new collaborative networks and relationships, and learning to also release the past ones. It was difficult at first to make the shift from a Leader to an Individual Contributor, but it was a blessing in disguise. Little did I realize I needed the breathing room to slow down,
  • 🏃🏻‍♀️Health & Lifestyle: An update to my April Post where I was hoping to integrate short jogs. Since June, I've been running in the mornings, mostly 5k distances and I've been feeling great. As we start heading into fall, I'm going to have to find an alternate plan to maintain my health and it might be the gym 😪
  • 🧰 Business Life: Slowly but surely, I'm continuing to refine my messaging. Every evergreen channel, funnel, marketing streams that I had created in the past seems to slowly start turning and my analytics are showing a slow and healthy turn. I am excited to slowly turn the keys on at each interval. While I'll be refreshing some past loved products, there are some new ones that you may want to check out in my template shop.
    • If you were here specifically for the SOP Bundle, you can get it here.

This reaches the end of my update. But I promise, the next newsletter will be delivered with intentional value and items to help you through your journey of career, business or life.

What's happening now

This is a milestone year for me, and with that, comes a lot of changes in itself.

Biggest change? Moving away from Wordpress! For those who have been a part of my community knows that I've been with Wordpress since I was 14... growing from the ground up with coding and web developing, but I have found that over the years, my site has gone down numerous times and it's pretty frustrating. The loadtimes and pagespeed were sometimes concerning. As I stumbled across Ghost, I really liked their simplicity and minimalistic approach, which really aligns with my vision and mission, and suddenly I fell in love with content creation again. Really looking forward to finishing this out!

  • 👩🏻‍💻 Work: A career opportunity in February allowed me to step into a new role, new team, and new scope which is exciting and nerving at the same time. I am thankful for my transferrable skills that allowed me to integrate and embed swiftly into existing projects and being effective as well as efficient. I felt like I definitely have been drinking from the firehose, and while trying to maintain a positive mindset, there were a lot of mixed and bittersweet emotions that I had to bless and release. Now, I'm just looking forward to learning about my new world, and how I fit into it all. Exciting times ahead!
  • 💻 Personal Systems: Since taking steps into relaunching my brand, I've been adopting Notion as my platform, and excited as I bring to life the different planners, templates and resources that I'm building, and truly leveraging in my every day work and life.
  • 🧰 Business Life: It's been a slower lift than I had hoped, but I'm also taking it in strides. Since my divorce 5 years ago, there was a lot of PTSD when I thought of my business. But now that I'm shifting to my personal brand, it feels a lot more in alignment.
  • 🏃🏻‍♀️Health & Lifestyle: Now that spring has arrived, starting to integrate short jogs into my morning routine. Working out from home when I am able to, are goals I have for this year.
